Project meeting of the consortium for hot-dip galvanizing at the end of the first project phase

On Friday, 20.09.2019 the final meeting of the first phase of the consortium project hot-dip galvanizing took place. The consortium consists of the partners FILIGRAN and WIEGEL as well as the CBI. The partners came to Neuwied at the invitation of WIEGEL.

The first phase of the consortium project was successfully completed during this meeting of the participating partners. The focus of the consortium project hot-dip galvanizing is the investigation of the application potential of galvanized reinforcing steel. All goals of the research project set at the beginning of the 4-month processing period could be worked on promisingly.

Another topic of the project meeting was the outlook for subsequent project phases. The concrete work programme for the second phase of the hot-dip galvanizing project will be determined at the next meeting of the consortium. This meeting will take place at the invitation of FILIGRAN in Leese.

In addition, the entire consortium had the opportunity to take part in a guided tour through the plant of WIEGEL. In this way, the representatives of the consortium partners were able to gain an insight into the processes and procedures during hot-dip galvanizing.
