Modular construction is becoming more and more important in Germany, so that questions about the necessary structural engineering proofs, in particular fire protection, are increasingly arising in concrete projects.

The project aims to demonstrate the possibilities of providing proof of the fire protection properties of structural elements for steel-frame room unit buildings.

Within the framework of this consortium project, a practical guide is being developed which differentiates between three types of room cells: sea freight containers, containers (steel frames visible from the outside) and room modules (planked from the outside) and is intended to show the possibilities of providing proof of the fire protection properties of room cell buildings in steel frame construction. For this purpose, the simplification and standardization of the obtaining of approvals, authorizations, and permits shall be brought about.

After a long period, a personal meeting with the individual members and the CBI has taken place, naturally under the hygiene measures. During this meeting, the further procedures for the next phases were discussed in detail.

On this occasion, the CBI would like to thank the companies for effective cooperation!
