Cooperation workshop CBI and BIM Center Aachen

Today an exciting and productive collaboration workshop between BIM Center Aachen and Center Building and Infrastructure Engineering took place with 10 companies from modular construction, building technology, planning and plant engineering. The workshop focused on the RWTH Aachen Campus and how companies can contribute to project success through smart solutions and stronger collaboration. After the welcome by representatives of the two organizing centers Prof. Jakob Beetz and Lev Kirnats as well as Dr. -Ing. Carl Richter and a subsequent round of introductions, impulse presentations followed by Prof. Beetz from the BIM Center Aachen on standardized digital interfaces in construction – digital perspectives on cooperation, Ms. Matlinska from BFT Planung on coordination in model-based projects as well as the presentation of the real laboratory Modulo as a crystallization point for research and testing of modular buildings by the managing director Dr. Feuerborn of RWTH Aachen Campus.

Afterwards, the participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas on current topics or new project ideas in various discussion rounds, before a common research roadmap was defined at the end of the workshop and the next steps were determined.
