Consortium meeting on building construction to identify topics and initiate new projects

On 20.10.2020 the CBI invited all interested members to an online workshop with the main topic building construction.

The focus was on the exchange among each other about possible new topics and the initiation of new projects in this field.
Representatives of the companies ALHO, Algeco, bft, BOLLE, CADOLTO, ELA, FILIGRAN, HALFEN, HOCHTIEF, KLEUSBERG, nesseler, SÄBU and WIEGEL took part.

The topics were identified on the basis of various short presentations. The Center Smart Services (CSS), represented by the managing director Benedikt Moser, started off with a keynote speech on the various possibilities in the field of digitisation. Afterwards, the three institutes for building materials research (ibac), Structural Concrete (IMB) and steel construction (STB) brought current research topics into the discussion as further impulses.
With the help of a digital whiteboard, an open and constructive discussion followed in which new possible topics were evaluated, selected focal points defined and the corresponding methods discussed. In this way, some promising project ideas were generated, which will be further elaborated in the coming weeks.
