Consortium meeting “Sustainability assessment of transport out of town“

Last Friday, the consortium “Sustainability assessment of extra-urban transport infrastructure” met for the first time for a digital project meeting after the kick-off meeting (March 2022). Our members Echterhoff, Hochtief, Nesseler, Eurovia and Heitkamp also met with the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and Autobahn GmbH at this meeting to seamlessly follow on from the kick-off meeting.

From the scientific side, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Institute of Sustainability in Civil Engineering at RWTH Aachen University and the Institute of Highway Engineering at RWTH Aachen University.

The content of the meeting was to define functional units for a possible sustainability assessment of infrastructure, especially the comparability, and to work out concrete contents on the basis of possible examples.

The next meeting will take place on 16 and 17 May 2022 as part of our 7th members’ meeting in Aachen. We are already looking forward to the reunion.
