Consortial meeting Sustainability in Modular Construction

On October 1 and 2, 2020, a workshop of the consortium project Sustainability in modular construction together with the DGNB took place in Aachen in accordance with the corona protection measures. The consortium consists of the partners ALGECO, ALHO, BFT Cognos, CADOLTO, CONTAINERWERK, ELA, FLADAFI, KLEUSBERG and ZEPPELIN and the CBI. In this consortium the sustainability of buildings made of room cells is considered.

After a keynote speech by Johannes Kreißig of the (Managing Director DGNB) on Thursday, further discussions were held in a casual atmosphere in the Elisenbrunnen restaurant.

On the second day, following a keynote speech by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Kuhnhenne, Professor for Sustainable Metal Building Envelopes, the possible objectives and next steps for sustainability in modular construction were discussed and defined together with the DGNB and the CBI.
